About me: The official stuff:

  • I am a qualified, registered dietitian that have been practising in the NHS and private practise for more than more than 20 years of which 15 years I have spent in diabetes. I have experienced a massive change in how we treat and support people with all types of diabetes over the last 15 years.

  • Before I worked in diabetes, I worked in gastroenterology and gained experience working with people with IBS and Coeliac Disease. I am a Kings College London, FODMAP trained dietitian, which is very useful for myself because if I am not careful with my diet I get terrible IBS and most horrendous wind!.

  • I am a keen sports woman, having participated in many long distance cycling and running events and used my spare time to gain a post-graduate certificate in sport and exercise nutrition at Coventry University.

  • I did further study in fertility and preconception nutrition to support my clients with diabetes who are planning pregnancy.

  • I have a MSc in clinical research from the University of East Anglia

  • I am a guest lecturer at the University of East Anglia.

  • I am a DAFNE and DESMOND trained dietitian

  • I am a committee member for the British Dietetic Association’s, Diabetes, Sport and Exercise Sub Group
